Singapore - Malaysia 4D3N Itinerary

1:48 PM

There was a Cebu Pacific seat sale back in November 2015 and being cheapskates, my friends and I did not have any second thoughts and immediately booked a flight to Singapore and Malaysia that cost only ~PhP 3,000 round-trip! We were so excited about this trip since this would be our first time as a group to travel internationally. I even prepared the itinerary five months ahead of the trip. Lol.

We were supposed to fly from Manila/Cebu (three of my friends departed from Cebu) at 8:00PM/7:55 PM and arrive in Changi Airport at midnight, but Cebu Pacific changed the schedule to two hours later due to runway closure. (Minor change in plans again.)

Three days in Singapore is too short to enjoy the seemingly endless activities and one day in Kuala Lumpur feels rushed. We forwent a lot of activities S.E.A. Aquarium, Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, Jurong Bird Park and decided to allot an entire day to USS, another day for the usual touristy places around the city, and the third day to souvenir shopping and cultural sightseeing.

After tons of articles, reviews, and last-minute changes, I finally came up with a feasible itinerary. Here goes:

Travel Tips

✈ Plan ahead, do some research and read travel blogs and reviews. I learned that Petronas Twin Towers is closed on Mondays when I checked the tickets on the website. Sad. 😞

Book the accommodation prior to the trip. I highly recommend Booking.com for free and cancellable bookings.

✈ Watch out for promos. I couldn't believe my luck when Tune Hotels had this Crazy 8 Sale last June. I booked our one-night stay in Downtown KL for as low as MYR 28 (~PhP 332) per room.

Discounted tickets are available at Klook. The prices in the itinerary are from the official website, but we actually booked our tickets with Klook app. After booking, we received the vouchers in a pdf file and did not have to print anything. It's totally legit and convenient.

P.S. I haven't written anything on this blog in three years, but I promise to write a separate post about the trip.
